Rachael Clements, MSW

Intern

I provide a nonjudgmental and open-minded environment for individuals who are ready to explore new ways of healing, especially when the path forward has felt unclear or overwhelming. My approach is rooted in DBT, focusing on the balance between accepting where you are right now and finding the concrete skills needed to change the things that aren’t working. I particularly enjoy working with teens and individuals navigating BPD. I believe that even in a crisis, there is a path forward.

My practice is built on a holistic approach, recognizing that true healing requires honoring the connection between mind, body, and your unique life experiences. I’m not here to label symptoms, but to meet you exactly where you are and help you build a life that feels authentic, manageable, and worth living.

To support your growth, I draw from a specialized toolkit that balances clinical expertise with holistic grounding:

  • Full DBT & BPD Specialization: I provide the complete DBT framework for adults and teens, specifically those navigating Borderline Personality Disorder and high-intensity emotions.
  • Trauma & Crisis Resolution: I am ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) trained, have experience in residential substance abuse and crisis management.
  • Mindfulness in Motion: As a certified yoga instructor, I can help teach the physical and mental skills to observe and stay nonjudgmental when life feels too much.
  • Play Therapy & Adolescent Care: I incorporate Play Therapy techniques to engage teens and younger clients, providing a creative and developmentally appropriate way to process emotions and build social skills.
  • Leadership & Communication: I use my experience and training in “Crucial Conversations” and time management to help you master the art of being effective in your relationships and daily life.

Outside the Office I practice what I preach when it comes to using DBT skills and finding balance. Whether I’m running, hiking, or camping with my family, I value the clarity that comes from being active and connected to nature. This reflects my favorite DBT skill, which is One-Mindfulness. By learning to do one thing at a time with full presence, we can move away from chaos and find peace. My goal is to help you reclaim your agency and build a life that is not just manageable, but truly worth living.
