DBT for Friends and Family

You may have a loved one who is struggling with big, intense emotions. It could be anger, sadness, or anxiety that gets in the way of the relationships, careers, education goals, and life that they want. Maybe you tried to help this person just to have it backfire.

We specialize in helping people like this, and we use a therapy called DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy). Often, family members of those we treat ask how they can best support their loved one in DBT. That’s where this group comes in. It’s designed to help family members (parents, siblings, etc.) understand the struggles and learn better tools to help their loved ones who are struggling.

This group teaches skills that have been proven to change patterns and to improve relationships (skills draw from DBT and compassion-focused therapy). Held weekly, via zoom, 1 hour.

Men’s Group Therapy

A process group for adult men meant to increase self-compassion, emotional vulnerability, validation of self and others, psychological flexibility, values based decision making, and principles of effective change/atomic habits. If you are interested in this group, please let us know via the “learn more” button below. As soon as we have enough people, we will restart the group.

Faith Differences Group Therapy

This supportive therapy group is open to all who want to learn how to connect with people across different faith/religious experiences. Facilitators, Kevin (he/him) and Lynn (they/she), have both experienced their own faith journeys which have led them to different conclusions for themselves with regards to the LDS church. Even so, they deeply value and celebrate one another’s journeys and differences within their work together!

This group is a chance to dive into the messiness of building and maintaining relationships with loved ones when we find ourselves coming to different beliefs. Complex emotions can arise, and we created this group to help people navigate this terrain with compassion and confidence. While the group facilitators are primarily informed by LDS/post-LDS lenses, all who resonate with the goal of building bridges across religious affiliation are welcome to join, regardless of the relevant religious influences.

If you are interested in this group, please click the link below. As soon as we have enough interest, we will resume the group.
